On the Front Lines

We are proud to represent clients like Thresholds, a Chicago nonprofit playing a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of Chicagoans during the COVID-19 crisis. Despite the health risk posed by the virus, Thresholds employees continue their important work to keep people with severe, persistent mental health and substance use conditions safe and stable within the community.

On April 2, in “Exposed. Afraid. Determined.,” The New York Times highlighted one of these heroes, Nikki Grigalunas, a homeless-outreach worker for Thresholds. She has adapted her interactions with clients in light of social distancing requirements, but continues her outreach work to make sure that the population she serves can meet their basic needs and manage their medication, things that are essential to their survival. Thank you to Nikki, Thresholds, and all of the “helpers”!
