Several members of the Conlon Public Strategies team (L-R, Griselda Garibay, Kevin Conlon, Ruth Reiner, Linda Shapiro) were honored to join nearly 200 friends, supporters, and United States Senator Dick Durbin for the grand opening of the Erie Sankofa Village Health Center, Erie Family Health Centers’ 14th location. Located at the corner of Madison and Kildare in West Garfield Park, the new health center offers medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare services to people of all ages inside the Sankofa Village Wellness Center. The project grew out of a vision by the Garfield Park Rite To Wellness Collaborative, which more than five years ago invited Erie to serve as an anchor partner in a comprehensive, community-driven approach to tackling systemic health inequities on Chicago’s West Side. Erie is partnering with Rush University Medical Center, Equal Hope, the YMCA of Metro Chicago, and West Side United to address the root causes of inequity and transform community health and wellness. Erie Family Health Centers is a longstanding Conlon Public Strategies client, and we congratulate the entire Erie team on this tremendous milestone.
