We had the honor of attending the ribbon cutting for National Louis University’s (NLU) new School of Nursing last Friday, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of this momentous occasion.
This new facility, made possible in part by a $750,000 earmark secured by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), is a critical step in addressing Illinois’ nursing workforce shortage. The funding was included in the Fiscal Year 2023 omnibus appropriations bill, as part of a concerted effort to expand our state’s capacity to educate and train the next generation of nurses.
Senator Durbin’s advocacy has been instrumental in advancing healthcare workforce solutions, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him on this project. The School of Nursing will not only help diversify the nursing field but will also equip future healthcare professionals with the tools to provide quality care in underserved communities throughout Illinois.
At Conlon Public Strategies, we’re proud to support National Louis University in its mission to increase access to education and bridge gaps in healthcare access across the state.
Here’s to the bright future of Illinois’ nursing professionals!
