The American Cancer Society’s ResearcHERS initiative, for which Conlon Public Strategies Senior Advisor Griselda Garibay serves as vice chair, is hosting the third annual Breaking Barriers: Championing Wellness for Women on Friday, May 1st, at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
ResearcHERS is a movement dedicated to funding women-led cancer research and closing the gender gap in scientific leadership. The American Cancer Society currently funds 368 women-led research projects totaling $219 million, and the initiative is working to expand that investment.
Breaking Barriers brings together women across industries for an afternoon of connection, empowerment, and action. A distinguished panel of experts will lead a conversation centered on resilience, health, and personal growth.
We are so proud of Griselda’s work with ResearcHERS to advance the groundbreaking work of talented female researchers, who have invaluable and diverse perspectives. To attend attend the luncheon and learn more about supporting ResearcHERS, please go to this link.
