Congratulations to Conlon Public Strategies client Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, which has received a $5 million grant from the City of Chicago to support the construction of a state-of-the-art dance center in Washington Park on the South Side. The center will provide a home for the company, which has outgrown the studios and offices it shares with Ballet Chicago in the Loop. Scheduled to open in December 2024, the 30,000-square-foot building will transform a vacant property into a premier training/presenting space that will fill the need for professional dance facilities and programs on the South Side; celebrate its people, history, and art; and spur economic development in the area.
