Conlon Public Strategies is thrilled to announce that Griselda Garibay and Bill Gerstein have joined the firm as senior advisors. They bring important new perspectives to Conlon Public Strategies, as well as important expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); education; community engagement; and social enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Griselda is a Latina immigrant, first-generation college graduate, and strategist who is deeply committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives. Previously, Griselda served as the national director of the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement Mujeres de HACE Program and as finance and marketing director for the Vincentian Family Haiti Initiative. As a senior advisor for Conlon Public Strategies, she is excited to continue her work helping equity-focused nonprofits expand their reach and fulfill their social impact mission
Bill has an extraordinary background in education, community engagement and development, leadership, and entrepreneurship. His experience ranges from owning and operating a chain of supermarkets (Mr. G Finer Foods) to founding and serving as principal for two high schools in the South Shore and Austin neighborhoods. He has been deeply involved in community development and engagement efforts on the South and West Sides of the city, including serving as director of family and community engagement for Chicago Public Schools and leading a major effort to create comprehensive community engagement strategies for the district. Bill is also active in the community as a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and senior advisor and board member for City Year Chicago and other organizations.
